Artifact Extracts Hybrid THCA Crystals
THCA is the acidic precursor to THC. It covers the buds and leaves of raw cannabis plants. In its natural form, it is non-psychoactive and must be decarboxylated with heat in order to turn into psychoactive THC. When THCA crystalline is exposed to fire (like from a lighter or a dab nail), it drops the A, and becomes the THC you know and love! It is believed that its natural function in the wild is to act as a repellent for predators like mites and insects.
THC crystals, otherwise known as THCA crystalline, are considered to be one of the purest concentrates around. They are produced through an advanced extraction process that pulls out THCA, washes it, filters it for contaminants, and lets it sit to crystallize. With THC levels reaching anywhere from 85%-99.9%, THCA crystals are some of the most potent concentrates out there.
Artifact Extracts Live Resin
Live resin is known for having a greater concentration of terpenes than other concentrates. Not only does this result in live resin having a more pungent aroma than most other concentrates, but, thanks to the entourage effect, complex terpene profiles have also been known to interact with cannabinoids and flavonoids to produce an elevated psychoactive experience.
Live resin protects terpenes by skipping the curing process and going straight to extraction. By exposing buds to heat, light, oxygen and physical agitation, the curing process can seriously damage their terpene quality and flavor profile. Instead of curing buds, the live resin process takes freshly harvested cannabis and freezes it to supercritical levels before and throughout the extraction process. By freezing it instead of curing it, live resin protects much of the natural flavor of cannabis.
