Cookies the brand is the brainchild of Berner, aka Gilbert Milam, Jr. Originally hailing from San Francisco, he’s a rapper turned marijuana mogul, and since starting a cannabis club (at age 18), he’s risen to become one of the most influential and respected figures in the California cannabis scene. We won’t even get deep into his other career here: As a popular rapper, signed to Wiz Khalifa’s Taylor Gang label.
Berner describes Cookies as “a grassroots expression of creativity.” But in the last eight years, the brand has grown from the streets of San Francisco into a nationally recognized player. Once a boutique Bay Area enterprise, now Cookies reaches into the worlds of fashion, cannabis, sports and music throughout North America.
