The other day we got stuck in traffic on 1-5 for two hours. The reason? The freeway was choked with shoppers trying to get in and out of the Northgate Mall. From the freeway, the mall parking lot was a glistening mass of cars, teeming with harried holiday shoppers. You could almost smell the anxiety.
And that’s why we’ll be avoiding the mall and looking for shopping experiences that are actually fun. Here’s our master plan for a relaxed shopping experience.
1. Head over to Have a Heart. Your favorite Seattle weed shop will provide the recreational marijuana that will enhance and mellow your holiday shopping experience and you can also pick up some fun gifts for your adult friends. Our Greenwood, Belltown, and Fremont weed shops are stocked with edibles, topicals, and the perfect stocking stuffer for any stoner: pre-rolls! Just imagine your loved ones’ delight when they dig into their stocking and are surprised by handfuls of Cookies N Cream joints, Zoots caramel brownies, or Dark Chocolate CBD Bars from Evergreen Herbal!
2. Smoke a lot of weed. This should really be obvious.
3. Choose a one-stop destination that’s actually fun. Our top recommendation is Swanson’s Nursery. At the famed nursery’s annual Reindeer Festival, you can pick up a Christmas tree, check out crafts and jewelry from local artists, buy holiday trinkets and decorations, and find cool gifts that will keep on giving, like tiny flowering succulents and cacti. If shopping starts to seem like a buzzkill, there’s a model train village for your stoned entertainment.
And you can always take a break to trip out on the nursery’s amazing selection of native and exotic plants and visit with real-live reindeer, which will be hanging out at the nursery until December 24th. And better yet? Your pleasant buzz will be enhanced by that warm fuzzy feeling you get for avoiding the rat race and supporting a true Seattle institution.
