This homey pub promises a “pirate-themed experience” but fortunately for the 99% of us NOT into piracy, the “experience” mostly revolves around eating, drinking, and enjoying the occasional live music and nautical atmosphere. You’ll find reliably friendly service, a better-than-average selection of tap beers, full liquor service, and sturdy pub grub to boot: Burgers, Reubens, fish and chips and chowder. Arrrrr!

Restaurant by day, lounge by night, the Porthole is an institution among Ocean Shores bars. Don’t come expecting frills; a mostly local clientele keeps things straightforward and by the numbers here. But you’ll find solid food, stiff drinks, and a genuine taste of the Washington Coast.

This homey, wood-paneled room is a magnet for all those seeking a taste of traditional Irish culture. Featuring a wide selection of Irish ales, stout, and whiskeys (plus a full list of other beverages both alcoholic and not), the Pub sprawls into a gaming area (shuffleboard, pool table, and darts), a banquet hall and a family-friendly dining area. What’s more, 2019 will bring the 16th annual Celtic Music Feis. It’s a major attraction for Ocean Shores (and a major amount of fun!).

This classy and well-loved bistro made it to our “Best Restaurants” list with its skillful take on classics like biscuits and gravy, housemade burgers and much, much more. But OBR takes beer and wine pretty seriously too, offering a wide-ranging and rotating selection of local and farther-flung tap brews and strong list of Pacific Northwest wines to boot.
