Okay, we’re pretty sure you don’t need to be convinced that the munchies are real anymore, right? (Though if you’re at all curious, the science behind eating high is pretty darn fascinating.)
Instead, let’s focus on a more immediate question: What are some great places to eat while stoned?
We’re not talking about junk food, either. At Have a Heart, we think cannabis is just one element in a healthy, happy and engaged lifestyle. So just like we don’t think lunch should be a bag of chips and a soda, we’re all about treating your body—and your mind—to healthful, fun and nourishing food. Check out 5 of our favorite Bothell places to eat while stoned.
5 Favorite Bothell Places to Eat While Stoned
We think eating high can be a deeply stimulating and satisfying experience, so why waste it on empty calories? Here’s a quick rundown of some delicious—and convenient—food options right in our neighborhood!
Bamboo House
22910 Bothell Everett Hwy #103A
Bothell, WA 98021
(425) 485-6737
This rather generic-looking Vietnamese joint may not look particularly promising, but don’t be deceived. You’ll find zingy, refreshing takes on one of our absolute favorite cuisines here, from rich, aromatic pho—the beef-and-noodle that may be Vietnam’s most famous culinary export—to cooling salads, springy and crunchy rice-paper rolls, and a few surprises. Bamboo House comes highly recommended for the high among us.
Korea House
20615 Bothell Everett Hwy B
Bothell, WA 98012
(425) 486-8866
If some Asian cuisines—Vietnamese and Japanese, for a start—are notable for their subtlety, Korean is the exact opposite. Think big, bold, smack-you-in-the-face flavors and textures: Soft tofu vs. chewy grilled meats; fermented funk vs. salty soy; sometimes they’re all combined in the same dish! There’s plenty of comfort food here, but those who stray from the “safe”-sounding choices will be richly rewarded at Korea House.
Ruchi Indian
17917 Bothell Everett Hwy #104
Bothell, WA 98012
(425) 415-1091
Long gone are the days when “Indian Cuisine” meant stodgy curries and greasy naan. Ruchi Indian sets a high bar with off-the-beaten-track snacks and treats like dosas—crisp, stuffed crepes stuffed with savory fillings and chutneys—and a wide-ranging choice of specialties from all across the Indian subcontinent. Warning: If you are actually high, ask for suggestions, because the menu is huge and everything sounds amazing.
Russell’s
3305 Monte Villa Parkway
Bothell, WA – 98021
(425) 486-4072
To counterbalance the many awesome, stimulating and complex cuisines featured on this list, we wanted to add a simple—but very satisfying—local favorite: Russell’s. Think classic sandwiches, pastas, salads and wraps done just right: A benchmark burger, grilled salmon, and classic caesar, all in an urbane, classy setting. Note: While the dinner menu is considerably pricier than the other restaurants on our list, lunch is actually quite a bargain.
Viva Jalisco
1715 228th St SE #102
Bothell, WA 98021
(425) 481-3931
Let’s close out the list with a classic, shall we? Mexican food may be ubiquitous in this part of the world, but this family favorite delivers the goods in reliable, satisfying style. Think simple grilled meats, savory beans and fluffy rice, and the spicy salsas that make Mexican taste just like home, even if your home isn’t actually in Mexico. Viva Jalisco will be sure to please your yearning tastebuds.
